Malealea Lodge is running on 100% Solar Energy
In 2016 we made the switch from diesel-guzzling generator power to solar power. This greatly reduced our fuel usage, protecting our air and the climate. The conversion also had the added benefit of completely transforming the guest experience here. We can now provide electricity from morning until night whereas before we only ran the power from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
No Electric: Blankets, Hairdryers, Flat- irons, Kettles, Toasters, Heaters, Irons or any other heating appliances can be used as they will drain the battery system.
